Chiara Simonetti, architect, was born in Belluno and - after numerous moves between northern Italy and Germany - settled in Milan, where she attended the Politecnico and put down roots.
During her university studies she met Clara Cardia, with whom she immediately established a deep professional and personal connection, and joined the newly-formed Laboratorio Qualità Urbana e Sicurezza, which she has never left.
Since then she has passionately and energetically developed her research and consultancy work on the subjects of urban quality and environmental prevention of crime alongside her professional activities in the building and real estate sectors.
She has taken part in many Italian and European programmes; particularly notable among these are AGIS “Action SAFEPOLIS” e COST “Crime Prevention Through Urban Design and Planning”.
